The wind...

I love the wind. It cannot be captured, nor should it be. It is free, it blows through. For these things I love it. To be with the wind, what do you do? I am not quite sure. It cannot be captured on film, cannot be recorded. I love you wind. Blow on through my soul.

Choices, choices.

First off, dooce had a cool post today. She admitted having a pretend boyfriend, when younger, named Brock. That is beyond cool.

Next, I have had a question nagging me from deep in my soul all day. Given the choice, would I rather be intelligent and talented or extremely good looking. I would really have a hard time with that one, although I know what my answer would be in the end. What are your thoughts people???

In from work...

Just getting in from work, the snow is coming down heavily. Some type of bad mojo is going down today. People, take a step back, and breathe for a moment. In netland, feelings have been ripped apart, stomped on, and set aflame. I sincerely hope that nothing that I have said spurred any of the heated arguements. I just want everything back in place on our little blue marble. I can tell that all is not at rest, and that things were said in haste either out of pain or the re-opening of a wound. In the end, we all need each other for one thing or another. Yes, that is right, we need one another. I pray each of you restful and warm sleep this evening, and peace beyond.

Good tunes and such...

Hanging out.... Husker Du blaring loudly... Eating pop tarts with a strawberry crush chaser... Life is good.

Yay!

I was running around like a chicken with its head cut off this weekend, but since I teased you all on Friday...

Caro gave birth to a healthy baby boy on the 25th at 1:30am. His name is Nathaniel George.

Mom and baby are doing fine...

Eeeeee!

My good friend Caro is having a baby! Right NOW!

Her water broke today, and they're inducing tonight.

I'm super duper excited. :)

She's a month early, but I'm sure everything will go smoothly. They don't even know the gender of the baby yet.

Placed in our lives

Tonight, sitting here, just thinking and breathing(Thanks Pam), I realize that different people are placed in our lives for different reasons at different times. I cannot even pretend to understand it all. Too many nights have been spent sleepless trying to understand it all. Those of you out there, you KNOW who you are have helped me through a difficult period. Thank You.

I have attained some clarity through each of you. All of you absolutely rock. Some of you I know face to face, some of you by bits and bytes. That does not change the level of my gratitude. I now know that good things are in my future, whenever they decide to settle themselves is not under my "Control" (An illusion)

The list of things that I am thankful for from each of you is a long one, but Ill try to list each one. The ability to see life from the perspective of a child, an unexpected phone call, a note just to say hi to see how I'm doing, coffee, seeing your art studio and leaving with a piece of your art, a warm hug, a kiss that curled my toes for a week, feeling your breath on my face for a month, riding in your car and listening to new found tunes, knowing that just breathing can bring about immense solace, sobriety, drunkenness, your artistic talent, a simple kind word, a touch on the leg or hand, a knowing glance, a shoulder to cry on, a high five, a scent, being taken to a new level, your mind. Each of you should recognize, if not, just know that I am eternally touched and grateful. Lest there be doubt in your mind, shoot me an email. Thank you my friends, I love each and every one of you.

Morning Sunrise Tribal Downtempo Magic

Thanks to a recent post at Ariel's site, I visited the website of DJ Roman Roman has been mixing it up for moontribe for quite some time, and has mixes that are completely off the hook. I ordered 2 of his sets from him today, and will post a review as soon as they come in. Ariel stated that one of the collections, called Vacation Music, has been the soundtrack for part of her life, so people, this stuff is good.

Downtempo is a sub-division of electronic music that is preferred heavily by my age range, 30+ , and others who have been raving since the late 80's. Our eardrums have been turned to mush from too many dB's, and we still love to get our groove on, and chill. Please check his site out, hopefully you have broadband. Listen to his stuff, and BUY SOME!!! I don't know this guy, nor will I get anything out of this, I am telling you about him for YOUR OWN GOOD.....

Something to think about

There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra than Alzheimer's research. This means that by 2020, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection what to do with them.

Grr.

Oh lord.

So, you guys don't know my situation right now, but I'll give you a little background:

I lived in California for a couple of years, living with my BF of 4.5 years. I decided to leave him last year, and moved home to Chicago. So, now I'm staying with my parents because the job that I have doesn't pay much. I love it, but I'm embarassingly underpaid. But I talked with my mom, and she agreed that job satisfaction was more important than salary, so I could stay with them for awhile longer.

Fast forward to last night. Mom has now started to hold it over my head that I'm still staying with them, even though I'm not costing them anything to stay there, and she insisted that I stay.

I think I need to find a roommate and move out. Yes.

I love my cats.

Yes, my first 'real' entry will be about my cats.

I have two. A tiny little black girl kitty with green eyes named Cleo, and a huge grey boy kitty with amber eyes named Max. They're both about 4.5 years old, but not related.

Anyway, I took them to the vet on Monday night for their shots/annual checkup. Max weighs almost 23 pounds!!! I got scolded by the vet until she realized how little I actually feed him (Cleo tips the scale at a mere 7.5 pounds). So, it's prescription diet time for Max, since he's diabetes waiting to happen. He seriously looks like a pillow with feet.

And he has a follow-up appointment in 4 months for a weigh-in.

Ahh, the things we do for our pets...
