Meme from April...

1. When did you first start blogging and why?

I started Blogging in 2001, shortly after my ex-wife walked out on me for a good-for-nothing mormon sonofabitch. I registered this domain in '02, and have never looked back.

2. What don’t you talk about?

I generally refuse to talk about my wife, my family, and anything I consider to be sacred. Yes, even I consider some things sacred.

3. Are you and your blogging persona the same person?

Well, yes and no. I would say yes, because I don't make up content, or pimp it from my friends lives. At the same time, I would lean towards no, because of the voice that I write it. In Real Life, I am far less outspoken and brash. Several people who met me after reading brochspot.com have informed me that I am much more likable in person. Glad to hear that!

4. How do you use blogging to build friendships?

I have friendships that have spanned the entire time I have been blogging. I consider these people to be my real friends, making no line between those I have met and those that I haven't. Of course there are differences, and also different dynamics to the relationships. All of my local friends know about brochspot.com, and from time to time will even come by and comment.

Blogging has even been detrimental to relationships for me. It is best to let someone you are romantically involved with know about your blog, especially if it isn't anonymous. They WILL find it. Google is funny that way. There can then be a host of problems, such as, you don't talk about them enough, you talk about them at all, who is that girl commenting on your blog.... So on and so forth. My policy now, is to not discuss it period. I'm married, my wife reads this blog, and she is fantastically supportive. Hi Baby!!!! =-)

5. How would you describe your writing style?

It would have been easier to do so in '02 and '03. These days, I use my blog as a sounding board. Flat out, I'm snarky. I need to have a place where I can snark to my hearts content, so I do. I pay the bills here, natch.
