Mommy blogging? WTF?

Mommy Blogging??? WTF???? Like I really want to hear stories about your cute little bambino, and the baby diarrhea colored baby diarrhea that just shot up his back, and landed on the cat, that knocked the vase off the mantle, and poured water onto the plasma tv that you bought with money you made from advertising on your blog. Do you really think that anyone else shares the opinion that YOUR baby is the cutest one??? Ha, get real. I do have a couple of these that I read, for the trainwreck effect. I have noticied common themes among many mommy-bloggers, themes that I'm a little more than disturbed by. One being, "I love my pet more than my husband/sperm donor." Some of these MB's, actually think that their pets have super-powers. Some MB's, I think, have forgotten that they are the member of a team, and swear that they will never have physical contact with their spouses again. This isn't 3 weeks after the baby is born, this is usually over a year later. Keep that up for another 6 months, and we'll be reading a story that your husband is out running around on you. Can you blame him? Another being, "I used to party so hard that Columbia had to up their production of narcotics on days I went out." Yay. You grew up. Want a bozo button? The most disturbing trend I see on mommy blogs is the rampant use of Anti-depressants/Anti-Psychotics. I'm going to have to jump on the Tom Cruise bandwagon here. What did OUR mothers do when feeling down? They couldn't run to the local prozac stand or go talk to their therapist every time life got rough.. .I do know that there are legitimate uses for these drugs, and that there are people who really need them. I just think that they are FAR over prescribed, and that as a society we lean on them too much.

I'm probably going to get slammed for this post, what with my lack of a uterus and all, but I just don't get the mommy-blogger thing. Don't they have anything better to write about???
