Golden Tablets Found!
So there I am, sitting at a bar, drinking a beer. A dishevelled looking man in what looks like dirty grey "Robes" is sitting next to me. He keeps smashing his head into the bar while saying "Moron, moron, moron!" He's got a bit of an Italian accent, and really, this guy is as old as dirt! He said that at one point, some Joe Smith guy actually thought that his name was Moroni. This whole get drunk, smash head on bar, moron! moron! moron! gig is something he pulls off on non-payday Fridays. Turns out, the guys name is Gino, and that he has been working as a rep for temp agencies throughout the ages.
As for this Joe Smith guy, he worked for one of Gino's temp agencies. One afternoon Gino ran into Joe at the corner bar. Mr. Smith had been drinking all afternoon after being out of work for over two months. Gino had good news for him! Todd had work for him! Todd was the owner of the temp agency. To make a long story very short, after drinking bourbon all afternoon, Joe heard him say, "God has work for you to do." Gino took Joe out to a coal mine, and told him that he was supposed to do some mining for the next several weeks. That day, Gino was carrying his knapsack along, which contained a present he had received that day from his mama in Italy, a gold plated (Not even the real stuff) set of picture frames. Gino, having had a few himself, accidentally left them behind at the jobsite. After a passage of time, and a few missed paychecks, Joe finally returned the picture frames to Gino, explaining that they had given him a great idea! The rest of THAT story is, as they say, history.
